And the award goes to... the film maker who is not present!

DVD I got a message yesterday from the organizer of a festival to say… ‘what are you doing in two weeks time… do you want to come to our festival because, well, er, you have won?!’

WOW! But… as I am shooting right now, sadly, I can’t attend the festival (or reveal the festival just now). Bummer. So I had to decline.

And so she then asked if I could record a video message to play at the awards, which I dutifully filmed yesterday, during the lunch break for our corporate film shoot (it's suprisingly hard to do this when you are not in the atmosphere of an event). It has always surprised me that so many festival organizers don’t contact the winners ahead of time, to extend a special invitation so that the film makers are present at the awards ceremony.

Now I have to master a DVD and get it FedExe’d in time for the awards… Oh, as well as making this other film too! (UPDATE - What I have decided to do is make an ISO file and YouSendIt and they can burn the DVD from the NTSC DVD file I have made here. All very simple... I hope!)

Gotta love YouSendIt, it makes life so much easier. Congratulations on yet another award - that must be getting on for 40 now? Well worth going fishing for them!

Passionate, crazy and mad. And yes, I am a little schizo too. Thing is, I love making films as much as I do teaching film making. Hence, Make Film, Teach Film.
