We are close to completion on Gone Fishing now, and so have
begun thinking about our World Premiere festival - this is where we will first publicly
screen the film. We are seeking one of the major festivals and we are starting
out by submitting to Tribeca.
We can only supply an offline cut with temp sound and visual effects, but they will get the picture I am sure. I will also be in touch with the British Council very soon, to see if they can help place the film at selected festivals. The British Council are there to promote British Culture abroad and I have always found them to be extremely helpful. Their website is awesome too. Check it out here.
I don’t want to scatter gun the world festival circuit, more target festivals suited to ‘Gone Fishing’ and its sensitive nature, targeting festivals where I hope it will get high profile exposure. I hope we get into Tribeca, it’s a great festival form what I hear, and I have yet to go to NY!
